Before You Get Burned

Mysterious and dark
elusive eyes, hidden behind
amber sunglasses.
Armani suit,
fitted to perfection.
A secret hides within
so enemies beware
before you get burned.

Fiery and enchanting
and filled with a woman's charm,
is a person with a secret.
Trained in many special tactics
and an expert at them all.
But a nasty temper
that can be a danger to all who know her.
So enemies beware
before you get burned.

Jokes and humor
hide a dangerous professional.
Fried chicken and tropical shorts
complete the act.
A girlfriend and Caddy
help hide the true nature
of a trained agent.
Hurt a friend and now it's
personal to the professional.
So enemies beware
before you get burned.

This was the first poem I wrote in a long time. It is based off of the characters from one of my favorite TV shows, Burn Notice. The season premiere was coming up and I was so excited, I decided to write my poem based off of the three main characters. I usually have a big difficulty in writing rhyming poems, so I try to stay away from them as much as possible. I don't think it's one of my best poems. Once I got into it I really had fun coming up the next lines, especially for the last section, based off of the character Sam. The character are (from top to bottom) Mike, Fiona, and Sam. Overall I guess I would say I do like writing poems... generally.

Clichéd

Once upon a time, high high in the sky (10,000 feet in the air to be precise) lived an animated little figure by the name of Fawning Parasite. She was an animated little figure who enjoyed reading and writing. One day, while she was at school, a teacher appeared and instructed her to create a blog. Fawning Parasite clapped her hands and it was so. She decided to write about her writings and such, as instructed by her mentor. And so, let us begin this quaint little story entitled, 10,000 Ft. in the Air.

Today has been an interesting day in the life of an animated little figure in a way. All day in school we haven't done much. I watched Hamlet (such a sad ending) then had a math study hall, followed by a LONG Spanish period, another study hall, some musical times in band, and then here and now, creative writing, where I have created this blog. I think I'm going to enjoy this creative writing class. I know a lot of the girls in here and the teacher is nice. Plus I love to write. So it all kind of works out. Anywho, I guess we'll just see where this goes.
